About
Founded in 2019 by former Solicitor-General Michael Heron KC, Agreeable was born from a simple idea: legal help should be easy to access with transparent pricing. We’ve traded the traditional billable hours and stuffy boardrooms model for a process that actually works for your life.
In New Zealand, the Property (Relationships) Act 1976 allows couples to “contract out” of the Act and make their own decisions about their assets if the relationship ends. For too long, this process has been intimidating and expensive for everyday Kiwis. We’ve changed that. With Agreeable, the entire journey is online, simpler, and much more affordable. You draft your agreement together at your own pace, then receive a fixed-fee quote for two independent lawyers to advise and certify it, all without leaving your couch.

Who’s using Agreeable?
"You are all doing an amazing job. Our experience using Agreeable was excellent. You were very timely in your responses with us and happy to explain all situations in full, which made for a pleasurable experience working with you. Also, we both were allocated professional and passionate lawyers, who made us understand the agreement to the best of their ability. Overall, Agreeable made the agreement feel effortless and as though we were in good hands from beginning to end. Thank you for that."
Nicol
"I hope I never need to use your service again, given the circumstances underlying it, but if I have to do it over again I'd definitely go straight to Agreeable. Very happy with the service and price. Would also recommend it to anyone else in a similar situation."
